Water Testing Labs
For private well testing or independent confirmation of public water results, only use a state-certified laboratory running EPA Method 533 or 537.1. Results from certified labs are valid for regulatory complaints and legal proceedings. Results from uncertified sources are not.

Verify whether a specific water filter has been independently certified for PFAS reduction. NSF/ANSI Standard 58 covers reverse osmosis. Standard 53 covers activated carbon. Look up any filter before purchasing.
